Why coffee lovers adore this coffee
These blends are crafted for people who want more than just a basic cup. Each batch is carefully selected and slow-roasted so that the final espresso is sweet, balanced and aromatic, both on its own and in milk-based drinks.
- roast profiles designed for true Italian espresso;
- complex, yet easy-to-enjoy flavour profiles;
- reliable results on professional and home machines.

Trieste roots and coffee culture
The story begins in Trieste, a port city often described as one of the coffee capitals of Italy. Over three generations, a small family roastery has grown into an international name while keeping a strong focus on craftsmanship.
Beyond roasting, the team invests heavily in coffee culture: a training academy, barista courses, books and professional projects. The goal is simple – to help people understand espresso, not just drink it.
Dodicigrancru is the flagship blend available in our assortment. It is a 100% Arabica coffee composed of twelve carefully selected origins, chosen for their character and the way they interact in the cup.

Selected origins
The blend brings together some of the most precious Arabica coffees in the world:
- Jamaica Blue Mountain;
- Puerto Rico Yauco Selecto;
- San Domingo (Dominican Republic);
- Mexico Altura;
- Honduras SHG;
- Costa Rica Tarrazu SHB;
- El Salvador SHG;
- Guatemala SHB;
- Nicaragua Matagalpa;
- Brazil Selecto Fino;
- India Plantation Peaberry;
- Ethiopia Sidamo (washed).
Flavour profile
The result is a refined cup with elegant body and great aromatic depth. Expect floral hints, candied orange peel, milk chocolate, lightly roasted almonds, a touch of Caribbean rum and fine tobacco notes. The aftertaste is long, slightly spicy and very memorable.
What makes this blend special
- it is rare to find 12 high-end Arabica origins in one blend;
- medium roast emphasises sweetness and clarity of flavour;
- performs beautifully as straight espresso and in cappuccino or flat white;
- works well on professional machines, prosumer setups and quality automatics.
How to get the best from Dodicigrancru
- grind only what you need, just before brewing, to preserve aroma;
- use a dedicated espresso grind and fine-tune it according to flow rate;
- aim for an extraction time of around 25 seconds for a standard double shot;
- if the cup tastes too bitter, the grind might be too fine or the temperature too high; if it is too sharp or sour, try a slightly coarser grind.
Who will enjoy this coffee most
- cafés and bars looking for an elegant Italian-style espresso;
- restaurants and hotels that care about serving premium coffee;
- offices that want to offer their team something beyond basic coffee;
- home baristas with a dedicated espresso machine and grinder.
