Saeco Aulika EVO: The Secret to 70.000+ Cups of Coffee

Saeco Aulika EVO: The Secret to 70.000+ Cups of Coffee

Recently, our showroom on Petricani 88/8 street was visited by a DIY-savvy client — the kind of owner who knows his machinery and prefers to handle it personally. He came in for a simple O-ring for his Saeco Aulika EVO brew group. His plan was to swap the part and leave. However, a daily-use espresso machine hides areas that only experience can reveal. We grabbed a screwdriver and analyzed the group together with Adrian, our technician since 2019.

Saeco Aulika Evo Top: The "Workhorse" of the Modern Office

The Aulika Evo series is the modern evolution of the legendary Saeco Royal line, launched to dominate the OCS (Office Coffee Service) segment. It is an endurance-engineered machine, the flagship for locations where coffee never stops flowing.

Power Specs:
  • Daily Capacity: 100 – 120+ cups (perfect for large offices and HoReCa).
  • Water Tank: 4 liters (high autonomy).
  • Bean Hopper: 1 kg.
  • Grounds Container: 40 servings.

User Reviews: Those who use it call it the "coffee tank." It’s praised for its modern touch interface and High Speed Cappuccino system, but veteran users warn: its longevity depends directly on brew group hygiene.

Adrian pointed out immediately: the piston gasket was just the beginning. Real pressure issues often arise from the connector rings or the upper tube area. Furthermore, we noticed the use of improper grease. In a pressurized system, food-grade lubricant is the only correct option for the safety of every cup.

The NM02.013 ring is vital for maintaining pressure in the brewing chamber of the Saeco group.

PART I: Hygiene and Aesthetic Details

  • Brush Cleaning: A simple painting brush (new) is ideal for sweeping coffee residues where hands can't reach.
  • Vacuuming Grounds: Periodically vacuum the interior. Spilled grounds get damp and mold quickly.
  • Tank Hygiene: Invisible biofilm on the walls alters the water's taste. Wash it with a soft sponge.
  • Critical Zone Under the Tank: Beans accidentally dropped under the tank can block the supply hose.
  • The "New Button" Secret: An old toothbrush and universal foam restore a "brand-new" look to the control buttons.

PART II: Precision Stage (The Mechanical Heart)

Step 1: Descaling

Start the descaling cycle only after cleaning the tank. Use a professional descaler according to the Saeco Aulika Evo user manual.

Step 2: Replacing Gaskets (NM02.013, NM02.007, NM01.044)

  • NM02.013: Black piston ring. Without it, pressure drops dramatically.
  • NM02.007: Connector gaskets that prevent leaks into the drip tray.
  • NM01.044: Vital for sealing the group during extraction.

Lubricating the Saeco Aulika Evo group with food-grade grease
The final step: lubricating new rings with food-grade silicone for a perfect seal.

Final Takeaway: Longevity and Profit

Theoretically, these machines are rated for 15,000 coffees. Practically, at coffeeshop.md we have seen counters at 40,000+ and even 70,000+. Maintenance with integrity transforms a commercial machine into a steady source of income for years.

Happy sales!
